When is the Best Time for This Tour?
Jomsom Muktinath Jeep Tour is possible all year round. Spring and Autumn are the two best periods for the Tour. But, seasons like Summer and Winter may hinder the jeep tour. Let’s go through the behavior of each season
Autumn | Months: September, October, November
Autumn is the peak season for Jomsom Muktinath Tour by Jeep or any other tour in Nepal. The monsoon rains perfectly wash the surroundings. The climate is also moderate to do trips like the Jomsom Muktinath Jeep Tour. Average daytime temperature is around 14 to 16°C. Autumn leads to unobstructed views of the terrains and peaks. Visitors come to Muktinath during this season to get soaked by the transparent nature. Your road will be safe from the landslides, making the tour safe and on time. So, Autumn is the best time for Jomsom Muktinath by Jeep.
Spring | Months: March, April, May
Spring is the best alternative for this Tour. The temperature revolves moderately around 18 to 6°C. This chilly temperature is ideal for driving on and visiting the Muktinath area. The colourful forests filled with Rhododendrons are attentive to watch. Likewise, the snow-capped mountains are equally charming during the Spring season. Hence, if you have missed the Jomsom Muktinath Jeep Tour on the Autumn season then plan for the Spring months.
Summer | Months: June, July, August
Summertime is the rainy season. However, the Muktinath area is one of the driest regions of Nepal. The rainfall is lower due to high mountains around the Mustang area. You’ll not get troubled by the rain after crossing the Jomsom. But the earlier road areas like Beni can get heavy rainfall and resulting landslides.
So, the roads are mostly blocked by the huge landslides during summer season. Jomsom Muktinath Jeep Tour is risky and tight through the Summer season. The Muktinath Helicopter tour is the better option in the Summer season.
Winter | Months: December, January, February
Winter is the coldest period of the year. The temperature drops around -8°C, making the area all covered with snow. Muktinath area tucked with the whitish snow is a fantastic view. Early December is the best time to witness the snow-blanketed Muktinath region.
Muktinath is accessible by jeep in case of the low snowfall. But, high snow makes the road slippery and tough to drive. Muktinath Helicopter Tour is possible and best pick for the Muktinath tour in the Winter.
