I had a great experience with this company. The owner/ manager Babu was very prompt in responding my queries. The teahouses selected for stay were comfortable and at very central locations. I chose to accept the sleeping bag and hiking poles offered in our package. The poles were nothing fancy but sufficient and sturdy for my trek. The sleeping bag was perfection! They also offered a down jacket but I didn’t take that as I had one of my own. Sounds like they have a lot of options for various budgets and hiking levels. They also offer several treks and adventures within Nepal.
Can’t wait to go on the next adventure with these guys

Early March four of us went to Nepal for EBC trekking. By getting the help from Babu, the company managing director, and his team from Adventure Great Himalaya, we had a wonderful trip. Prior to the trip, Babu and his team were very patience and responsive in providing me advice and guidance for the trek, e.g. what to pack, how much local currency to bring, itinerary, and others. Due to the Turkish airline incident my flight was almost delayed and Babu were patiently sharing with me all the potential alternative. It worked out perfectly at the end.

Upon arrival, we received warm welcome from the team. We were assigned with a very experience, friendly and helpful tour guide, Janak, and two very helpful porters from upon arriving in Lulka. It was overall a very enjoyable trip dispute we faced the challenge of AMS and very thin air upon 4500m. We completed our Gokyo Ri, EBC, and Kalapakta trek in 19 days and this would be so much harder without a professional guide and careful planning of everyday’s itinerary. The view was simply amazing and breathtaking.

Upon the trek, three of my team members also spent a night in Phokara. It was an ac hoc last minute decision but with the help from Babu, the trip was arranged (with a paragliding activity booked) with a few phone calls during the night before the trip.

I’d highly recommend anyone whom like to visit Nepal to reach out to Adventure Great Himalayan. Thank you Babu and your team for the great service!

It’s have been great experience to travel under this company. Their trekking itinerary is absolutely perfect for most of the trekkers. We made a right decision to choose Adventure Great Himalaya after corresponding with more than 10 other agencies. Babu, the owner of the agency is very trustworthy and reliable. His promptness to reply to all my concerns and queries made the whole preparation a breeze.

He is fast in making last minute changes and will give constructive advice. We have difficulty to finalize our number of days and travelling date. On top of being ambitious, we wanted to complete Everest Base Camp via Gokyo and Chola Pass in 15 days. 3 days short from the normal itinerary. Babu was very accommodative and made our trip an unforgettable memory.

He had given a wonderful service and help to us. Making arrangements for us when our luggage did not arrive rebook air ticket to Lukla, making contact with our insurance company and even assist to pay our medical bill in the hospital.

Will highly recommend his service to others!

We trekked to Everest Base Camp + Kalapather and Gokyo Lake Trek via Chola Pass in April 2014 with Great Himalaya. The owner Babu Karki made sure we had everything we needed before we left Kathmandu. We had a group of 12, and with the help and encouragement of our guides Nabin and Tashuu, and our awesome porters, everyone made it over Chola Pass in good shape, even though other groups struggled and turned back. Trekking in the Himalaya for over two weeks was a dream come true, and the folks at Great Himalaya were a big part of the experience.
