Overview
The Ruby Valley trek is a lesser-known hidden trek located in the Himalayan foothills of Nepal. This outstanding trek offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and a unique cultural experience. The recently opened tour takes place in the remote Ruby Valley region, between the Manalsu and the Langtang region.
With moderately challenging trails, you will have a good fitness level to complete the trek. This trails you through beautiful forests, past stunning waterfalls, natural hot springs, etc., while observing the snow-capped Himalayas. The sweeping views of the Himalayas include the Ganesh Himal, Manaslu Himal, Langtang Himal, and others.
You will also pass through the region’s majestic Pangsang La Pass (3,842 m). The trails take you through the region’s diverse terrains, including the terrace, farmed hills, vast meadows, and rocky hills. Trekkers will pass through the fast-flowing rivers, suspension bridges, stone-driven mills, and others. You can also observe the region’s exotic wildlife, including the musk deer, leopards, etc.
The region is home to the indigenous Tamang and Gurung people, who have a rich and unique culture. The trek typically starts from Syabrubesi, where you arrive through a scenic drive. The trail takes you through the dense forests, where you will see a variety of flora and fauna. As you climb higher, the Himalayas’ views become more breathtaking. In the next few days, you will pass through the settlements of Gatlang, Somdang, and Tipling.
You will also cross the Pangsang La Pass located at an altitude of 3455m. The next destinations along the trail include the settlements of Chalise Gaun, Borang, and Darkha Phedi. From there, you will begin your journey back to Kathmandu where we conclude our journey.
