Packing List

During the Annapurna Circuit Trek you need to pack thoughtfully to be secure from the varying weather conditions and traverse smoothly through diverse terrains. The higher zones are generally cold, so layering up is important for a secure journey. You need to pack base layers, insulated and outer layers to stay comfortable and adjust clothing according to the weather. Make sure to pack base layers like warm thermals, moisture-wicking shirts and undergarments.

Likewise, insulating layers like fleece jackets and down jackets are essential for protection from the cold. In addition, the weather can vary in the higher zones so you need to bring rain jackets and pants as well as windproof and waterproof jackets.

Other clothing essentials include sun hats, a scarf, beanies, lightweight and insulated gloves, a buff, gaiters, warm socks and comfortable trekking pants. In addition, you need to invest in high-quality footwear to trek through the rugged sections of the trail. Thus, you must pack sturdy trekking boots with excellent ankle support. Similarly, you can also bring trekking sandals and a pair of slippers. In addition to clothing essentials you also need to pack other required items like:

  • Trekking Poles
  • First Aid Kit with basic medicines
  • Refillable Water Bootle
  • Backpack
  • Headlamps
  • Flashlights
